A PDF markup tool from SiteNotePro. Your drawings never leave your device.

Cover is not redaction. Cover paints a white box over text, but the text stays in the file and can still be copied out. To remove it, use Redact: it deletes the content and flattens that page to an image.

Measurements are only as good as the scale you set. Calibrate each sheet against a distance you know, and check the result against a second known dimension before ordering anything against it. Areas assume a simple outline, one that does not cross itself.

Saving writes shapes and measurements into the drawing. Other apps show them, but in the saved file they cannot be moved or rubbed out, in ConceptLine either; pen, highlights, pictures, signatures and stamps stay movable. Words in Shapes text boxes and callouts become real text in the saved file, so Find and other readers can search them once you open the saved copy. Text tool notes stay movable notes.

Shapes cannot be saved into this PDF

This PDF is protected, so ConceptLine cannot write anything from the Shapes or Measure menus into it: shapes, text boxes, callouts and measurements. Pen, highlight and notes made with the Text tool can still be saved.

Saving a redacted file

This takes out text that is not on any page:

  • the document's title, author, subject, keywords and other properties
  • bookmarks
  • named places in the file that links and bookmarks jump to
  • page labels, the names some files give their pages in place of numbers
  • attached files
  • scripts in the document and on its pages
  • certificates kept for checking signatures
